This infographic is based on a study that has tested the effectiveness that certain supplements have on bodybuilding gains. In the study, one group of people were given the supplement and the other was given a placebo instead. The result shows the actual effectiveness of each supplement.
As we can see, the most effective are HMB and Creatine, while some other supplements, such as Protein even had a reverse effect – bigger gains were seen with athletes who have not taken the supplement. That doesn’t mean that protein prevents gains, but the results are interesting nonetheless.
